The time given is the time that the walk will commence.

Please try to arrive there earlier so that you can register and be ready to leave on time.
It will not be possible to delay the start of the walk for more than a few minutes.

Drinks and a Packed Lunch are required on all walks unless specifically stated in the program.

11:00am High Street Part 1
Strenuous all day Lake District Mountain walk up Rough Crag to High Street, Mardale Ill Bell, Nan Bield and Harter Fell. 7 miles. 2700 ft ascent. Dogs on short leads. Pub call afterwards Haweswater Hotel.

From M6 J39 take the A6 north through Shap and turn left for Bampton. At Bampton turn left over the bridge and follow the road to Haweswater, passing down the length of the reservoir past the Haweswater Hotel.

11:00am Moderate walk around Rivington Park taking in Rivington Pike and Yarrow reservoir, 8 miles (1000 ft ascent). No dogs.at beginning pub stop at end.

4th June
11:00am Moderate walk with wonderful views of Wharfedale and Littondale. Taking the Dales Way along the river Wharfe before a steep climb over Old Cote Moor to Arncliffe, followed by a second riverside path to Hawkeswick and a slightly gentler climb back over the moor to Kettlewell. 8½ miles. Total Ascent 1,584ft (480 metres). Dogs on short leads. Choice of Pub or Tea shop after.

From A65 at Skipton turn north into Grassington Road (B6265 changes to B6160 after Threshfield) for about 13 miles to Kettlewell. The car park is on your left immediately after the bridge as you enter the village.

11:00am Easy to Moderate all day walk through Bronte Country exploring the old weavers settlement of Trawden & Lumb Spout Waterfall before taking afternoon tea in the village of Wycoller with it's spooky legends and Jane Eyre's Ferndean Manor. 7 - 8 miles. Total Ascent 656ft (200mtrs). Dogs on short leads.

From end of M65 turn left into A6068 follow through Colne for nearly 2 miles to turn right after 3rd roundabout into Cotton Tree Lane (signed Trawden B6250), following the brown signs for Wycoller Country Park. (beware the first tight left turn into Keighley Rd after just over 1 mile).

7:00pm Easy to moderate evening walk from Appley Bridge along canal with short gradual climb to Parbold Hill and back through Fairy Glen. 4 miles. Dogs on a lead. Pub call at end.

Easy 6 miles walk round Samlesbury Bottoms and Hoghton Bottoms calling in at Samlesbury Hall. Dogs on lead.

From M6 J31 take A59 towards Blackburn, at Samlesbury almost opposite the Hall turn right down Nab’s Head Lane. Pub at end of road on right.

Strenuous Lake District mountain walk to Great Sca Fell, Great Cockup and a few more of the Northern fells back-o-skiddaw. 2,522 feet of ascent. 9 miles. Dogs on a lead. Pub call afterwards.

A66 past Keswick turning right at end of Bassenthwaite Lake onto B5291 for Castle Inn. Fork immediately right again and then shortly right over bridge at end of lake, still B5291. At A591 cross road go straight across into lane for Uldale and Caldbeck. Turn right at sign for Overwater Hotel continuing beyond hotel entrance until lake appears on the right. Car park is at next junction.

11:00am Moderate all day walk following Offa's Dyke through Trevor Hall Wood to Castell Dinas Bran and Llangollen returning by the Shropshire Union Canal (Llangollen Branch). 10 Miles. 800 ft ascent. Dogs on short leads. Pub Call afterwards afterwards Telford Inn.

From M56 J15 take M53 south to end, then follow A483 past Wrexham to Ruabon and take the A539 towards Llangollen. After 2 miles, passing the Duke of Wellington on the right and in 200yds take next left into Station Road signed Froncysyllte (B5434). Turn left just before the Pub.

10:30am Strenuous walk taking in Ingleborough and part of Ingleton falls, from Ingleton. 10.5 miles, 2200 ft. Dogs on a lead. Pub stop at end.

From M6 J36, take A65 through Kirkby Lonsdale to Ingleton (or A65 from Settle). On reaching Ingleton follow signs to falls. Car park entrance is almost under railway viaduct.
